Director, Information Dissemination Unit, OJJDP
Eileen Garry joined the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) in 1995, serving first as the Program Analysis Officer before assuming leadership of the Information Dissemination Unit. She is responsible for OJJDP’s national reference and dissemination program on juvenile justice, which includes the Juvenile Justice Clearinghouse and Juvenile Justice Resource Center programs, the publications program, and discretionary program development. Ms. Garry moved to OJJDP after spending 18 years at Aspen Systems Corporation in Rockville, MD. For approximately half her tenure at Aspen, she was Associate Program Manager and then Program Manager of the Juvenile Justice Resource Center, directing more than 300 technical assistance and support projects under a multimillion dollar contract for OJJDP. Her other positions at Aspen included Coordinator of Consultant Services for the Juvenile Justice Resource Center and Senior Document Evaluator for the National Institute of Justice/National Criminal Justice Reference Service. Ms. Garry is the author or coauthor of more than 20 publications on both juvenile and criminal justice issues. She holds a master’s degree in Administration of Justice and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, both from The American University, Washington, DC.
